"I was surprised to hear that councillors on the cash-scrapped council are considering a plan to close the city's music school in a bid to save 450,000 pounds. And this happens just a few days after the professor of evolutionary anthropology at the University of Oxford Robin Dunbar publish his work about the the key role that music and music tuition can play in education. Children all over Scotland will suffer most. The music school in Aberdeen gives many student from all part of Scotland the opportunity to make their dreams come true. There will no bands, no music centre and of course no school bands. If Aberdeen will be left with no music service it will be the young generation that will be affected most.
Many concerned people express their protest against the unbelievable situation by the Facebook protest page states. We just cannot allow the music education to be destroyed."
