La Rambla

It is normal to see crowded streets full with energetic tourists come in Barcelona to grab some piece of the inspiring atmosphere, but I have personally never seen so many people in La Ramla street.
The Rambla originally was a small street stream flowing just outside the city walls. In the 16th century convents and a university were built along the
river. In the 19th century the city wall was torn down and buildings were erected along the now dried up river. Some of the most important buildings were demolished in that time, from where in fact come the names of the five different names of La Rambla territory: Rambla De CanaletesRambla dels EstudisRambla de Sant JosepRambla de Santa MonicaRambla de Mar.
In La Rambla there is almost everything that can satisfy every tourist. Starting from simple coffee shops and finishing with amazing shopping centers. If you have some extra money, don`t keep it and buy some precious garment from the latest fashion lines or souvenirs from the many stores. If you had paid close attention in the beginning of your journey and carefully chosen the accommodation, you might have been lucky to have a straight view from the vacation rental in Barcelona. La Rambla is close to the sea which gave you the opportunity to admire breath-taking sunrises. In fact the cheap flats Barcelona are good places for meetings, official dinners and perfect shelters from rainy days ( which are a lot during the spring ). It is good to be in Barcelona and to walk in La Rambla street.
