From 28th of October to 5th of November the International Film Festival In Rome was one of the greatest events, which this year celebrated its fifth year. The centre of it was Auditorium Parco della Musica, which included five more areas – Santa Cecilia, Sinopoli, Petrassi, Studio Theatre, Studio 3. The info points and ticket office were very close to the Cinema Village.
The festival was in “pink”, directed to women, which participated to the event. Some of the invited actresses were the Italian beauty Valeria Solarino in the beginning, the next after her is Keira Knightley and Eva Mendes. Julianne Moore had the honour to receive the prestigious Golden Mark' Aurelio Acting Award and to present a movie.
The chairman of the international jury was Sergio Castellitto, who had the honour to choose the movie winner of the prestigious Golden Marc'Aurelio Audience Award.
One of the films that was attending to the Academy Awards is “the Social Network” directed by David Flincher, and the others were the new version of “Dylan Dog” and “Tron”. Bruce Springsteen, known as the legendary “boss” attended the screening of a documentary devoted to him.
Of course The Rome Film Festival cant miss to give the deserved honour to the cinema of the past, which is the cinema's rich heritage. This year was the fiftieth anniversary of the cult movie directed by Federico Fellini “ La Dolce Vita”, and for the occasion it was screened in a sparkling restored version.
It was a great event, and there were many visitors, came from many places all over the world, many journalists and of course it wouldn't be so attractive if there weren't the beautiful actresses. Many of them took the Awards and many others went away a bit disappointed, but in all cases it was more to be seen.
