The 5 Worst Things You Can Do At A Wedding

1. Get too Drunk

There is always a limit to how much you should drink at a wedding. No matter whether the wedding ceremony is being held in a medieval castle, or a cheap Birmingham hotel – you’ll always find one person who ignores their limit, and proceeds to quaff endless glasses of the complimentary champagne. Dancing like an idiot is one thing, but just remember to stop before you’re tempted to make a pass at the mother of the bride – or the bride herself, for that matter.

2. Steal the Show

Everyone likes to dress up smart for a wedding, but do remember who’s day it is. Those individuals who turn up to weddings wearing Hawaiian shirts, rotating bow ties, or for girls, particularly low cut tops, are liable to put a few noses out of joint.

3. Practical Jokes

This being something of an important day for the bridge and groom, it is quite likely that nobody will be in the mood for jokes. As a result, putting laxatives in the punch, sprinkling itching powder in the priest’s robes or swapping the ring for a Hula Hoop is unlikely to be appreciated on this occasion.

4. Inappropriate Speeches

Supposing you’ve been invited to be the best man at your friend’s wedding… while your speech is expected to be witty, and maybe even a little racy, there are some topics that are most certainly off-limits! Ex-girlfriends, drugs, criminal activities and STDs are just a few on the no-no list.

5. Interruptions

You know that part of the ceremony when the priest asks if anyone present knows of any just reason the couple should not be married, and the room always goes silent for a few moments? That’s right. Keep your mouth shut, unless you want to be the most unpopular person in the room.

So, no matter whether the wedding is at your local church, or in one of those fancy Paris wedding venues… follow these simple rules, or else suffer social exclusion for the rest of your life.

  1. Quite helpful information on wedding planning. Last month, I arranged my cousin’s wedding at one of amazing Los Angeles venues. It was a themed wedding and we all had pretty lovely time there. Everyone liked arrangements and especially food was amazing!
