Vienna is a major European travel destination, with an excellent transportation, beautiful historic site and rich heritage in music and culture. A highly civilised and sophisticated city, Vienna offers many choices for accommodations that will fit every budget and taste. The active cultural live in the Austrian capital makes it a place that has something to offer year round.

The hotels Vienna has are situated close to the main city attractions, thus being convenient to the visitors. Most of the hotels offer handy packages including experienced guides, which is essential in Vienna – only the museums here are more than 100. The most visited tourist attractions are in the Inner City District which was designated a UNESCO World Heritage Site. Here is the Gothic cathedral Stephansdom – one of the oldest churches in Vienna, standing on the ruins of two earlier churches, the first being a parish church consecrated in 1147. The Cathedral today is standing at 136 meters tall and its massive south tower is its highest point and a dominant feature of the Vienna skyline. The city centre is also the place where the Hofburg palace is rising. The area of this palace has been expanded over the centuries to include: various residences, the chapel, museums, the Imperial Library, the treasury, the national theatre and the famous Spanish Riding School.

Vienna's charm is not only in its centre. In the outlying districts are built 2 of the greatest Baroque palaces – the Castle Belvedere and the Schonbrunn palace, the latter housing the world's oldest zoo. Outside the city centre is also the Donauturm. The top of that tower ha sthe most spectacular view of the Austrian capital with the Blue Danube.
